I live outside Orange County- can I still use Flour and Flower Designs as my florist?
Yes! Contact me for more info.

What is "Strike?"

Strike is fancy florist talk for taking everything down and collecting rentals at the end of your event.

My venue requires insurance. Do you have it?                                              Yes! We carry insurance. Please be aware different venues require different amounts of Liability Insurance and separate certificates. Make sure you or your planner provides me the requirements with ample time to make sure I can fill them.

Do you have rentals?                                                                                     Yes! Lots of stuff! I have candle holders, votive holders, centerpiece containers, aisle decor, arches, pedestals, signs, custom signs, table numbers, easels, signage, props, risers, seating charts, and more... And we build stuff, too.

Can I use my own flower containers or structures?

Most of the time yes, but there are exceptions. Some containers are not floral/cooler friendly and can be ruined. I cannot attach florals to an unstable or even questionable structure for safety and insurance reasons. Contact me and we can figure it out.

Is there a minimum to use your services? Why?
Because we are events-only company we don't keep a floral inventory. Many supplies are purchased in bulk and any items not used in your order cannot be resold. For this reason there is a minimum $1000.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Cash, checks, Venmo and Master Card, Visa, American Express.
Credit Card processing will add 3.5% processing fee.

Is a floral centerpiece mock up included in the pricing?
Unfortunately it is not.  Because we do not keep an inventory we cannot offer complimentary examples. You can purchase an example.

Do I have to make a deposit for florals?
Yes. To book us for any florals requires a $500 non-refundable deposit. That holds your date and guarantees floral services. Once you know you want to use us, you should make a deposit. We often have multiple inquires for the same day and will not hold your date for flowers without a floral deposit.

When is final payment due? What if I have changes?
Final payment is 2 due weeks before your event date. because thats when I place your order with suppliers.
You can add or subtract from your initial orders freely up until 2 weeks before your event.  Floral additions can be made after final payment with additional purchase. No subtractions are permitted, but we can incorporate the ordered flowers into existing pieces.

Why is there an exclusivity clause in the contract?                                   Your guests and other vendors will not have a list of who did what flowers at your wedding.  I rely on my good reputation, referrals and social media to build my business.

What if I have a last special guest need to add something?                      No problem! Call me and I can make a plan. Even changes made after the two weeks before your event can be accommodated in most cases. Let me know if you need and extra corsage or centerpiece for unexpected last-minute guest or table -- we'll figure it all out.

What is the "Time" clause in the contract?                                                  This is to help manage time related expenses and minimize waiting (and paying employees to wait) due to lack of communication or confirming incorrect final information. Your final floral contract will have all the timeline details that pertain to florals included in writing. If your day sticks "roughly" to that timeline- no extra time is needed. If your timeline says ceremony starts at 4, but really it starts at 6, or I come to pick up rentals at 10, but reception goes to 11:30, this is when extra time charges would be applied.

What if I have my own extra decor. Will you set it up for me?                  Usually no. Only because I have other things to do for you, but if you don't have a planner or need help, let me know and we can figure it out.

Do you offer any discounts?                                                                      Yes! I absolutely love our military brides & grooms and those who serve us in law enforcement. Let us know at the time of booking and we'll hook you up!

Why is there a substitution clause in the contract?

Things happen that effect floral availability.  Every thing from bad weather, air transport and United States customs disturbances to civil unrest can make a certain flower unavailable in our region. I will always choose replacement flowers that maintain the integrity of your budget and style.
